ARP head stud install question

Default ARP head stud install question

I am putting ARP head studs into my d16z6 and I noticed the the rear stud on #4 seems to sit higher at hand tight I do not think this is normal.. Am I right?

Mine stuck up a little higher too. After doing a little research I found that everyone else had the same issue. Well actually its not really an issue. Itll be fine.

yea all of the are flush but this one is about 1/4 maybe 1/2 inch higher.

If it was cross threading he wouldn't be able to get it in there at all..

he didnt say it was in all the way, just hand tight. hand tight can be cross threaded. back on topic

Yea I am not cranking them with the allen or anything it goes in like butter all the way then stops like this is all it has but sticks up about 1/4 inch maybe a tad more then the rest of them, this is on a d16z6 on the back corner near number one or the side closest to the trans. So this is normal anyone else clarify this? I do not think it is cross threading I know what that is like.

It's normal. Just follow the instructions for installation and your golden.

Did you clean the threads in the block with break clean? I had the same issue on my B18

yeah i was thinking the same. i bought a used block years ago and it was gunk built up in there. you could here it as i turned
