static noise when braking
Hey guys, not sure where to begin looking. I get a static noise thru the speakers whenever I brake and going over some heavy bumps. Obviously sounds like a grounding issue but where to start?
where to start?
Well a little better detail about what u have might be a good start.
do u have amp(s)
what headunit are u using.
is the static noise coming from all speakers even subs?

Everything is stock cept for the head unit which is a Clarion SD player and i used a harness for the wiring. Just started happening after we finished tuning the car on the dyno. lots of vibration at 10k rpm so i'm thinking something got loose but no idea what would cause this everytime i brake now and only some big bumps. It seems to be coming from the rear except at times it sounds like its cutting out from the HU itself and no sound comes from any speaker... The wires were soldered and not crimped. no amps in this setup

I would suggest remove the head unit from the dash wired up still move the harness around and kind tap on the head unit. If everything is stock it is very unlikely to come loose. Look at your rear speaker wire from the trunk possibly it could be touching. I ran into once where the speaker tensile was barley touching the frame of the speaker frame causing a short off and on.
