I was told my motor had JE low comp pistons and Eagle rods...Is there any way i can tell that the motor has them with out actually taking the head off or motor apart to look???
Also i did a compression test and is was roughly 175psi across the board...Is that low comp??
I really want to find this out before i boost the car becouse if they are not low comp pistons it will most likley blow up
HELPPP THANKS!!

No there is no way that I know of seeing what you have without taking the head and pan off.I would have thought this was common sense but I guess not.

That still wont tell him what rods he has.
Take the pan off and find out,you can look at the bottom of the piston and see if it's cast or forged. That is if you personally can tell the difference.
