Default Where can I buy a stripped down B20 block?

I just need the B20Z bottom end block by itself. I don't need the crank, pistons, rings, or rods. I just want the block, but, it MUST be a newer one. I don't want some **** with 100k miles on it with two cracked cylinder walls.

I would prefer it if I can purchase it from a good reliable shop. So if you can give me some websites to go to for it, that'd be great.

Thanks.

Why do you need it (just curious) and how much are you looking to spend? It may be easier just to buy a whole one and dissasemble it.

I plan on replacing my B18B bottom end with it. I want more torque with my turbo. And, I plan on buying a B17A crank, and some aftermarket pistons and rods for it. That's why I don't want anything else. It'd just be a waste.

It's going to be tough to find a stripped down block that you'd want...most everybody just sells shortblocks whole. 799 at hondamotorsonline.com for a JDN b20 with under 15,000 miles. And do you know someone with a B17 crank that you can buy? It's hard to plan for something that is nearly "impossible" to find. I know you can get B18 blocks for nothing and have it sleeved and bored out to 2L, not sure if you want it sleeved or not though.

Actually, I've seen quite a few B17A cranks for sale. They're not that hard to find. Rare, but, people do sell them.

That price for a short block is way too much. I don't need a JDM block. I just need the block by itself, and I swear I used to see people selling them for cheap. I'll just keep looking around then.

Are you trying to build Endyn's perfect r/s frank motor? The general consensus is that it is a waste of money. A few guys have tried it and they get better results with the stock B20 crank, plus it's cheaper. http://www.crvtec.com

But the B18B and B20Z's stroke ratio on their cranks suck. All I plan on doing is keeping my LS head, and throwing it onto a B20 block. I want more torque with my turbo.

Then why use the B17 crank? You'll have roughly the same displacement you have now, only you'll most likely need to rev higher to acheive the same amount of torque.

81mm bore & 89mm stroke = 1834cc
84mm bore & 82.7mm stroke = 1832cc
