The D16Y7 is a SOHC NON-VTEC motor from the 96-00 civic CX, LX, and DX.

The D16Y8 is a SOHC VTEC motor from the 96-00 civic EX.

ya i kno now that now lol but ihave a 91 civic ef with a 93 wiring harness but it has a mini me sawp in it a its all 2geter i just need a ECU 4 it so i can time it

what exactly is your mini me. what head what block? what if any ecus do you have, is the ??mini me?? done already? need more info
you said you have a 93 harness, is the car obd1 now? what distributor do you have?

well im not 2 sure wut head it is but its ether a y8 or zc head cuz thats wut every ones been saying is that they use thoes 2 heads. and a friend gave me a p06 non vtec ecu but i need the jumpers. and its all together just need 2 put the ecu on and time it and check every thing out. i just got it from a firend for 600 i got hooked up big time lol
