one side is ripped on the tie rack, but this looks like it being slung around likeits coming from the axle.ill wipe it and when i look again there it is.i think i need to pull the axle and really look at the inner hub im wondering if it has a hole somwhere?but iver turned it and didnt see or feel anything.

it could be a transmission or engine oil leak...drops will get blown and pick up dirt while you're driving and it will land in the back looking like grease

if you really cannot find a rip in the boot, it can still be leaking thru the boot clamp.

lol its coming from the axle,i wiped it a few differant times first time i noticed it was about a month ago when doing an oil change.

hey tyson is there any way to take the axle off and tighten that clamp?ill also check over the boot and see if it does have a pin hole in it.

you probably dont have to take the axle off to tighten the clamp or put a new clamp on. it would certainly help tho. up to you.

ive had problems also with the clamp especially ones from like autozone or kragen. so what i do is add a sealent around the boot opening and shaft meet. no problems so far
