Default Door Lock Problem with Viper 5900

Ok. After a complete reinstall on my system, I got the alarm installed stealthly the way I planned. I now have a new problem.

The door locks lock when I arm the system. When I disarm the system, the door locks unlock, then after a few seconds, lock then unlock. It locks and unlocks until I rearm the system.

Anyone have an idea on this one? =P

Thank you!

Bump.

could it be a loose door trigger wire? Would the door trigger be causing this or the door lock wires?

Unlikely, but it could be a poor ground connection, [alarm ground].

Where did you get the 5900 from? 94

I bought it from a car alarm stereo place, they installed it. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it stealthly. It could be a poor ground. I did kinda ground it in a dookie spot >.>. so it wouldnt be related to my door lock wiring/trigger at all yes? I'll try regrounding it in a different spot tonight.

Thanks for the tip

Many things could come into play. you said it does it on the disarm, So a bad ignition source could cause it. Bad ground as F.C.M. said.

I used the same ignition tap that the car audio place used. As for the ground I just shoved it behind a bolt on the frame. I didnt wire brush it. I'm gonna try wire brushing it to get it to bare metal then try again. If not, any other ideas?

I'd like a collective boosts of ideas going here to get this diagnosed quickly.

Thanks everyone!

Ok I got it to work. It actually was a bad ignition wire connection. The connection fell out. It was kinda strange too. Everytime I did anything that would involve my parking lights [brake, signal, etc] my doors would unlock! After a few seconds the alarm would go "OMGOSH THE CAR IS ON AND UNLOCKED -lock-" =P Quite amusing and annoying to hit the brake and unlock your car.

Thanks for your help guys!
