EG coupe, vitara d16z6 or swapped b20b?
Im looking to build a decent boost setup for my coupe, ive been dooing alot of research on d16z6t with vitaras and have seen outstanding numbers, but then again i know a b20b on 10psi would be a hell of a motor. Im just looking into this and need some opinions before i start spending money. Thanks
b20 blocks have thin cylinder walls and wont be able to withstand too much horsepower. unless you plan on sleeving it the d16 with vitaras would be much better for boost

yes i was estimating around 350whp on fjt vitara setup. arp headstuds, rod bolts, multilayer headgasket, block guard, and acl full race rod bearings on a t3/t4 tuned on 20psi, now my dd is a 89 hatch with a b20/ls with obx stage 1 cams, aftermarket valve springs and what not with arp rodbolts, 4-1 header and full 2 1/2" stainless exhaust but since i converted to obd1 its not what it use to be, but my brother didnt tighten the dizzy b4 i took it out and it kinda popped out and i think i might have jumped timing or something, and then i spun a rod bearing shortly after. It use to do a 13.9 on street tires but it just feels so diffrent so im thinkin about the z6 in my eg. What kind of numbers would a jdm b20b on 10psi be? Thanks
theres really no way to tell. 10 psi on what turbo? what is your exact setup gonna be? theres too many factors involved for anyone to just guess an hp value based on what psi you will run id search the F/I section for a b20 thread for ideas. and i know for a fact theres a large sohc thread just do some reading and figure out what works best for you

Id do the boosted D for sure. Use the custom FJT rods for vitaras to get 8something:1 CR and zex 59300, 3 angle valve job and the turbo setup you have listed with a good tune and you will easily see 300+whp. Way more than that B20 will make without building it also
