car cuts off at 4 grand in 5th gear on highway
whats up guys, i have a 94 ls motor in my integra, used to be a gsr motor but thats another story, anyways i put the motor in and had to convert to obd1 so i have the harness and computer...well i was cruising today on the highway and my car just cut off when it hit 4th gear, i tried hitting the gas and it wouldn't accelerate until it went to about 3700 rpms...and it happens on and off, sometimes its fine and will go past 4000 other times it wont, and if my foot is 1/4 on the throttle it will jump and bog. any ideas? i cant figure it out, the only CEL i'm throwing is for my o2 sensor heater circuit isn't working cause i need a new o2 sensor but that's it..any help will be appreciated. oh and also after i start my car in the morning and i let it run for about 30 seconds and i start to drive, when iu get on the gas it bogs and jumps and then it will be fine.

would this happen every once in awhile? cause sometimes i can go well past 4000rpms in 5th and sometimes it just wont go at all, feels like i hit rev limter every time
O2 Sensor code...means you are having issues with your fuel trim. When a car is turned on, and the engine is cold it is in Open loop mode, once the car is warmed up it goes into Closed loop, and your ECU and O2Sensor start to communicate with each other, to achieve better performance. I think that the issue lies in a bad ECU, open it up and look for melted resistors, or burned componets, if the proper jumper harness was not used, you might have shorted out something with in the ECU. This is why your ECU will not let you go pass 4,000 RPM. because it either running to lean or too rich. the ECU will enable you from further harming your engine. you might also have a bad O2Sensor, or the incorrect O2 Sensor. Make sure it's the 4 wire type.

Thank you sir...The signal on the O2 is the issue, but that signal goes to the ECU, which only reads on a on / off...throw ground...not power, so if power =Volts entered the ECU, then something inside the ECU got fryed like bacon!

thanks guys, i'll def check out the o2 sensor and the ecu....one more question since we're on teh subject of 02 sensor...since i have converted to a obd I ecu and still have the obd II harness....is there a certain type of wiring for the o2 sensor i need?
