Could be rings, but i'm leaning more towards head gasket on this, honestly I think i'd prefer to have bad rings than a bad head gasket.

how come??? changing a headgasket seems like a piece of cake rather than changing the rings....and is there a way i can make sure of what it is.....i did the compression test and when i put a cap full of oil in the cylinder the compression went to 180 does this mean its the rings....and if so is it weird jus one piston has bad rings??????

u answered your own question. if u put oil in the cylinder and the compression goes up it usually means bad rings

Yeah its easier, but it seems like if you blow a head gasket once they just keep blowing, bad rings you hone the cylinder, replace and thats it.

Thats probably bad rings if oil improved compression, if its just one piston its possible its possible that one piston has a stuck ring.
