or ANY pics i can use for comparison to an f22b1 manifold.

from my understanding the f22b1 vs f23... f23 has slightly larger plenum, slightly shorter/ larger runners?

I am going to be addressing the intake manifold and a new TB in the near future as I am thinking with them, some other changes... i can maximize my power per psi, since power is general is definately not a problem.

or hell if anyone has one or seen one, an ACTUAL pic of a venom manifold for a acura 2.2 cl which would bolt onto a f22b1 in our accords as well?

unfortunately it seems you are looking for the proverbial "Needle in a Haystack"

the only pictures I've seen comparing the two are no longer working.

Now if you were looking for comparison pictures between the H23 and F22B1 then I could help but I don't have a F23 IM to take pictures of, sorry.

But if memory serves me correctly the runners of the F23 are shorter. They are also bigger by ~2mm. The plenum of the F23 is shaped differently and larger (don't recall the shapes exactly, been a while since I've seen the pictures). Also, this is just what I can recall, I haven't personally compared the two IM's myself.

yea apparently it is quite the hard find.

i am at a point where its do i port a stock design f22b1 or maybe f23... or do i cut one up and get creative... or do i get one fab'd from scratch or modify a venom one (which i have NEVER seen anyone with venom one for a acura cl).

I have a stock unported intake manifold and tb... its a bottleneck and i am trying to think forward for this winter in terms of changes to maximize the efficiency of my setup.

good find, i also found some of an even more heavily ported f23 intake... exactly what i was looking for actually.

the unicorn of accord intakes, the venom... i doubt is anything different than the h23 one cause they dont care about listing applications properly but regardless i dont ever plan on seeing one. they are like hens teeth.

the f23 intake looks like a good option worth trying... i think it shows promise and saves me a ton of hassle with trying to fab something or modify another manifold to accomidate the thermostat housing bolting up, runner shape alignment, cost, etc.

I agree... I've looked at the H23 and F22B1 side by side and it looks to require lots of work.

total agreement with you... h23 intake is more trouble than its worth, the port shape is totally wrong for the taller tear drop shaped b1 port head. the thermostat housing does not line up will leak although with a little modification it can worked around. you have to trim the flange to fit it properly, drilling, etc... MEH... too much work for little proven gain on my application.

i figured i was better served hogging out a stock f22 or f23 manifold, or if i wanted to do something like the h23... just go straight to making a fab'd sheet metal.

stock f23 with some extensive work should prove to be a step in the right direction until i can talk bisimoto or someone into making something more purpose built (aka lots of time and money later).

thats a good point, with all the work involved with that IM one may be better off to just do something custom instead.

That would be NICE to see. Hopefully that could later turn into more being made as that is something that is lacking for the F series engines.

well actually i already talked to bisimoto about this because i am planning another cam change in the future once i get some more information he needs for a hardweld for me.

he did say though, that if the interest in a intake manifold was there... which it is mentioned quite a bit over the years... he might be able to do something in the future. although he is EXTREMELY busy right now, he was honest and said it would be next year before he could even consider to do something like that.

bisimoto...

i plan to find a route that will suffice until i can move onto something better... which will be some time down the road. for now... what i send you pm pics of... seems to be an interesting idea.

yeah, he is a busy person...

as much as I'd like to have faith in that, I think it's going to prove difficult to complete. It all depends on how much interest he is looking for as well. It's all too common for people to talk about how much they would buy something if it was offered and then as soon as the time comes people back out with exception to those extenuating circumstances. But I'd like to see it go through if it does come around and he is willing to make something. Keep up the good work

UPDATE: Got the f23 intake manifold (THANKS AFAccord)... looks promising compared to the f22b1 oe manifold. Off it goes to get port work.

before doing that, could you get comparison pictures with sizes for future reference if this topic ever comes back up?

Sorry already droped at the porter.

I do have all the pics of the intake that were posted by AFAccord though if you want me to host them up and post them for reference. I will have to do it when I get home though they are on that computer.

thats ok, I was more thinking side by side comparison shots to show the difference in sizes.

looking forward to seeing how it turns out though
