hmm... yeah I went for the "click here" and searched under "sheetmetal intake manifold", "sheetmetal manifold", "sheetmetal", "sheet metal"... under all forums, and just under forced induction... I could not find **** about sheet metal mani's!

but thats a nice usual HT wise *** comment... maybe next time you should search yourself to see if the person did in fact do a search before breaking *****.

or be a little more useful and just paste the link if you know of one

Here's mine:

this is a link to the individual parts of the manifold after they were machined:

more pics of the completed manifold can be seen here on my website:

Wow...finally someone gets it right...
I have seen so many sheetmetal intake manis that don't have the runners raised above the surface of the plenum. Good work Hybrid

Heres my JBE manifold that I got from Ron's old setup...

**** off, im not a ****** newbie.. i did a search didnt find much of ****, except for a couple JBE manifold's. i know there are tons of H-T guys that have some sweet manifolds, but they are usually hidden in other post...

anyway i seen one tonight....OMG it looked ****** sweet! i am so having one made now....the ones posted are allso badass! keep em coming!

hey, nice intake manifold... I looked at your other pics on the links you provided...it looks like you *may* have the IAC setup wrong, cant tell for sure though. It looks like you have 2 openings going directly into the plenum. On a stock/jg/skunk2 mani, one goes to the plenum, and the other goes to a port on the throttle body.

At this point you are correct. I am going to countersink a 1/4" threaded plug to block off the first hole, then drill the bypass hole on the throttle body flange to the first hole. The intake manifold is essentially done, but that has to be taken care of as well as remachining some of the holes on the head flange since the weld bead is overlapping them. I am happy with the way it turned out, it took me approximately 4 months to machine using a 4 axis Haas cnc machine for the headflange, fuel rail bungs and fuel rail attachmens, cnc lathe for the runners/velocity stacks and bridgeport knee mill machine for drilling/planing everything else. The manifold has been engineered to coincide with the Full race exhaust manifold Helmholtz tuning peak at 8000rpm, it was designed purely from a frequency analysis aspect and not from a flow standpoint. Given more time, and bigger budget I would have used carbon fiber for numerous reasons. I am expecting between a 5-10% increase in power from 4000-8000rpm over the edelbrock. Testing will commence shortly, should have all the results by the end of this month.

Hmm, interesting design. What made you decide on a bringing the runners straight up, as opposed to an air horn design inside the manifold?

But awesome craftsmanship, as always.

Don't know that's it's designed as well as boosted hybrids, but here's ours...

Judging by the displacement and redline you guys are using the plenum and runner length looks appropriate to have the tuning peak at your redline. Where the runners meet the head looks like square ports almost...are they? Looking great Tony! Did you do the fab work?

Thanks, I did do the fab work. The ports are oval and the runners have a 2 degree taper in them and they also taper from round to oval. The throttle body isn't on in that pic, but we made a real nice billet piece that puts the t/b at a 10degree angle towards the back wall of the plenum and has a nice taper from the throttle plate size to the plenum size. We also made the entire manifold out of 3/16" aluminum...we plan to run alot of boost

here is mine, the way the end is designed is better than flat because of the way the air flows, it makes sure that all the cylinders get equal amount of air, the flat ends usually starves 1., youd prolly want to go with a different one than mine, cause mine cost 1500 dollars, and was custom made...

isn't that colin's old one?

What's the reasoning behind this? Why is this better than just being flat?

Velocity stacks speed particle flow (airflow) since the there is less losses associated with a full radius lip. Basically you are able to increase the flow coefficient, and able to move more airflow. Typically there is about 10-15% increase in flow associated with velocity stacks.
