question about D series Vtec pressure switch two wire out to only one wire ecu harness?
I'm swapping out a Y7 for a Y8 but come to this problem of the Vtec pressure switch having two wires while in the archives it states to hook up a single wire to Ecu's connector C in #15. Just wondering where is the other wire supposed to go.

so it does not matter which wire I ground?
I checked the civic manual and the black wire goes to the C116 connector while the blue/black goes to ECU connector C #15 pin slot.
so i guess as long as one of the wires goes to ground and the other to the ECU pin #15 I'm fine.
thanks

So if the manual states Black = C116 (C116 is a ground). And the blue & black wire goes to the ECU @ C15. There is obviously a specific way for the wires to be hooked up. That is why electrical wires are color coded. Black is not the same as blue & black.
Refresher;
Black wire goes to C116 (Ground on Vehicle)
BLU/BLK wire goes to C15 (Pin on ECU)
That's the way to hook it up. It helps keep from any confusion down the road

funny thing is the plug I have for the switch does not have black and blue/black coming out of it. So I guess any one wire to ground would work?

Does it have any coloured wires at all or just two wires of the same color? Solid black is always ground. But like you said if the wires are both the same colour then it doesn't matter.
