Default my baby (the sol) wont start....

i got a 93 delsol, 187k manual.
so i get in my car like normal day and start my car. and it started like with in 2-3 clicks like it always did. i put it in reverse to get out of the parking lot and then i saw my RPM just drop to zero, and the sol just died on me... so i saw like ok let me start again, and it would not start no mater what i did. i would hear the engine try to start it self but all i hear is ***** **** wahhhhhhhg ***** i know for a FACT that it's not a battery. dont think it's the carburetor cuz it would atless start my car b4 it kills it. so... i dont know...
my friend did tell me somthing about: "neutral safety switch" but i've never even heard of that so i dont know... what do you guys think?

the neutral saftey switch is on the clutch pedal, it makes sure the clutch is push down before allowing the car to start

Check for fuel at the injectors, fire at the plugs and compression. You need all 3. Your car isn't carburated btw.
