Default clutch question

so i have a 2000 honda civic si basically stock with intake and exhaust. my clutch is starting to go and i was wondering would i be able to put like a stage 2 or 6 puck clutch or anything like that in because i am planning to turbo my car and get 350+ within the next year. so would i be able to get a performance clutch or should i just go with a stock one for now? any help would be appreciated. thanks

Well, i personally would just do stage 1 exedy until you start putting over 200 lbs torque cuz thats the capacity for the organic clutch kit. But then again, its up to you if you wish to drop your tranny twice. But at the same time, putting a big *** clutch in it will probably end up just ripping your tranny apart like my old EF. hahah that car had a six puck racing clutch in it, beastie as can be. a lightly modded d16y8. ohh how that tranny went to hell.

Unsprung four or six puck clutches wreak havoc on transmissions(real sudden, harsh engagement).

See...Lightly modded and it still trashed the trans.

I've heard of people using stock clutches on turbo Ds. While looking at clutches, it sounds like a lot of people like the Exedy stage 1 organic disc. It has something like 70% more clamping force than the OE clutch, so it should be plenty for a typical setup.
I picked one up, but haven't installed it yet.

Use good trans lube, don't beat on it and use a sprung clutch. JDM replacements are around $300 otherwise.
