H22A Balancer belt TDC ?
So I did the timing on my H22A Vtec motor, Im pretty sure I did the timing correect on the motor, however, I wasnt sure at all on the Balancer belt, I just put it on.
Anyway, the real problem is the car lacks MAJOR power, its like it makes noise but doesnt go anywhere.
after searchign for a buit, I relized I never did aligne balancer belt to TDC, I just put the belt on and called it a day.

check ur timing
Balancer shaft only helps the car run smoother. It could be the culprit, but I doubt it.
The balancer shaft pulley has an arrow on it that you align with an arrow on oil dip stick. It aligns horizontally too

Now, another question,
I knopw the answer but im in denail I guess,
when I re-adjust the timing, does that mean I have to Take off crank pulley, take off belt cover take off auto tentioner, compress it, put it back on set timing tdc put belt back on ?

Its okay, its not the end of the world just more work
You probally have to reinstall the whole timing belt. Im guessing you are a tooth or 2 off

Yeah, This makes me REALLY regret not doing the manual tentioner swap, All Id have to do with that is loosen the tentioner take thje belt off set tdc put belt on tighten tentioner, done....
If I'm remembering correctly, there are two different pulleys you have to set for the balance shafts; one I think you line up with the arrows and the housing and the rear one you pull out a service bolt and stick a 100mm bolt into (or a screwdriver). A Helm's is always useful here. If you can't get the info, let me know and I can post it up.

Are you telling him how to set the oil pump?
Are you telling him how to set the oil pump?
With a long allen key?
You have to set the oil pump and the balance shaft on the balancer belt. Thats it. You can use an allen key to set the oil pump, but the balancer shaft has tdc marks on the wheel.

correct. . . when you set the oil pump it also sets the rear balance shaft. the other balance shaft just has alignment marks on the pulley. but i wouldn't think the balance shafts being off would do anything except cause a funny vibration. I bet your off a tooth or two on the timing belt
