wanna go lower
hey guys i just got my hatch lowered on tokico illuminas and tokico reds. it still has 1.5 - 2 finger gaps. in the future i might want to lower it till it tucks. what springs do you guys suggest? and im not gonna get coilovers. lol
Well, you're gonna have to get coilovers...or at least coilover sleeves.
You gotta take into consideration that your car lowers when you sit in it. So it may have a 2 finger gap when you are going around checkin it but that gap closes a bit when you sit in the car. Even more so when you have a passenger in it.
Right now, the lowest springs I have seen are H&R/Neuspeed Race Springs. There are a few other springs that claim to go lower but never seen them or read reviews on them.
Don't cheap out on your suspension though. you'll only end up spending more money later. I am running Tokico Whites w/HR race springs and although it's a nice drop I still wish I would have gone with Pic coilovers.

Not trying to jack this thread by any means but I feel this question will aid the op:

Why exactly do you regret this setup? Stiffness not to your liking? Drop not to your liking etc?

Your car will ride like cramp if the wheels are tucked and I know exactly what your talking about. You will have no suspension travel and eat through tires. That might be your goal though. I highly doubt their are any springs out their that are going to lower your car that extreme. The only time I've seen springs that low are when put cut them
. If you don't want to look into coilovers I wish you luck.

Well, I've re-installed the setup twice and still the back is slightly lower than the front. I even pre-loaded it before torquing down the stuff.
Had I known it was gonna be this mindbending to figure out the reasons for the uneven drop I would have simply gone with the Pic setup.
But it feels good, no doubt. Maybe I got a bad set of springs??
