Default Install of a Piezo Mini Siren

I've had a Piezo Mini Siren sitting in my room for the longest time. I was going to have my car alarm installer put it in, but he never had the chance to do so. So I was wondering if I could just tap into the engine bay siren I have and just hook it up that way. I'll just extend the wires and place the mini siren inside the car. Would that work?

Also, what wire gauge do I buy in order to extend the siren wire? I already have a crimpper to crimp the wires together.

Thanks

Yes, you can do that...

16-18 gauge should be fine.

install a 10A fuse between the power wire of the siren to the piezo siren, that way they can't short your main siren it doesn't screw up the piezo.

If you can see the siren in the engine bay then you should think about relocating it to a different spot.
