That is a classic case of too much power for the clutch. What do you have in there?

How long have you been running this clutch, and did you follow the break-in procedure?
Do you have any idea what the torque rating is on this clutch? I didn't see it on their web site.

edit:never mind, I found the torque rating, %175 over stock, which would put it in the 280tq range, not enough clutch for you.

my tuner and the speed shop gear head performance said its suppose to be the baddest single disc clutch for the car but comp claims 175 percent increase to approx 400 ft pounds im assuming. I dont know if u have ever heard of anything but im suspecting its something with the hydrolics building pressure and appling pressure to the pressure plate or something cause my last act clutch was doind the same thinf i thougt it was the atts slipping but i did the coversion with a new clutch and same thing s happing . Oh and there only 600 miles on it and ya break in was sufficiant.

never mind, my math was wrong, it should hold 280ft/lbs over stock. Unless your pedal is incorrectly adjusted, your hydraulics should not be putting any pressure on the pressure plate, your foot is the only thing that does that.
I suggest calling CC tech support and having a chat with them.

this is the 3rd clutch doing the same thing. Ive heard of issues with other cars were heat or what have u causes fluid to boil/expand and if theres no where for it to release pressure or breathe it could apply prssure which is the only than that some what makes sense in my situation

unless you have water or air in the lines there is no reason for a clutch to be heating up enough to boil brake fluid, even DOT3. Wet boiling point is something like 284 degrees, dry is up over 500

I read that if you get rough edges on the input shaft the clutch can have rough or no engagement. The disc may be binding up somewhere.

Has the flywheel been turned between clutches? You need to have a good surface with no hot spots to mate the new clutch to, or you may not get complete engagement, not a big deal with stock power, but your power yes. 1-2 gear when your tires spin thats where you lose traction, but in 3rd+ you have enough grip that somehting has to give a bit in there, and its the clutch, maybe you need to step up to a multi plate or puck clutch, as I have seen a good clutch hold enough to spin the tires in all of 4th gear on a boosted lude making 530 whp, 380 tq.

found out a fix last night that none is going to believe. i drilled a 1/16 of and inch hole in the cap of the clutch master cylinder cap and the clutch no longer lets loose. So some how weather its heat or wha have u pressure was building in the hydrolic system and appling pressre to the pressure plate but it defaintly fix it we couldnt believe it.
