Fastbrakes 11" wilwood kit
I've heard the same about the blues. Anyone using performance friction, I am using carbotech p + and they are badass.
I can't wait to get the brake upgrade. Any suggestions on another company in the same price range (700.00).

Holly crap, Blues up front and XPs on the back! Your car must squeek like a ****. I just ordered XPs for my front and Ps for my rear and I thought that was going to be too aggressive...
Honestly, is your pad setup too extreme for the street?

Yes, maintenance on the dust-seal-less Wildwood calipers is an issue, need to be 'rebuilt' like a couple times a year or more depending on usage/conditions, when used on the street, but for track only then they would be great. This is why I went with the fastbrakes 'SpecR' upgrade for my 99GSR that is used for primarily street use, uses OEM Honda parts and is just as reliable as stock for the street. Enjoy
My apologies for reviving an old thread, but I was wondering what is involved in a caliper rebuild? Is rebuilding a Dynalite II necessary? Or do you just mean cleaning, like removing the caliper and shooting it with brake cleaner?

The 'rebuild' envolves taking out the caliper pistons, cleaning everything very well, and re-installing them with NEW seals. You see, they do not come with dust-boots that keep dirt and grime away from the piston area, so debris will eventually get in between the piston wall and bore and can begin to impeed their performance(and eventually seize up the pistons). So this is why when driven on the street all the time, they need to be rebuit like atleast once a year or so, but it depends on conditions and amount of time exposed to them. The rebuild is not really hard, it just takes a little while and needs to be done fairly frequently, so it is just a bit of a pain, its up to the individual. Enjoy

Wilwood techs will tell you that this is not a problem anymore. I ran Wilwood Billet Dynalite 4-pots on the front of my Si for about a year doing about 13-15k on the street, and more track days then I can remember(12+) and I had no problems.
YMMV
PS. For the guy that asked about the performance frictions, i was running them also. They are ridiculously cheap for the wilwood calipers. Try $36 bucks for the whole front axle(4 pads) from OG-Racing.com(local to me).

Question: Chad are you selling a wilwood kit soon? Also, 36.00 for the performance friction fronts are a good price I will have to check that place out once I pick up the kit. Thanks.
Hahaha! You guys crack me up! You are arguing with Chad saying that you heard that Hawk Blues eat rotors and are not suitable for street use while he IS TELLING YOU that he drives his on the street with no problems . . .
Drew - Who has driven his Blues for extended periods on the street and never had any problems other than some scraping noises when cold.

I have a good friend of mine who runs SRX7 in the DC region, and has had this problem when driving extended distances to events... such as eating up a set of blues and trashing rotors just driving there.
