Hello all,
Im new here and haven't spent any time on the site other than to post my question here. If there is a more appropriate place for this question, I apologize now.
Here is my situation:
1990 CRX dx, 1.5, manual, dual point F.I., 285,000 miles, d15b2 (I think its a 2)

About a month ago i was on my way to work in the morning, and the car just started sputtering/missing/falling on its face on take-off. Happened overnight with no warning.
Low idle, no power until around 2500 rpm, then it goes like normal. I thought I had an ignition problem. I checked spark, all good, all four. I checked compression, 170ish all four.
I do have a code 17, but that is because my cable has lost its snap ring and isnt in place all the way (which I will fix tonight).
It is definitely worse with the A/C on, but still there without.
I am getting terrible gas mileage, and a coworker reported smoke out the tail.
Any thoughts??

check ur ignition coil and igniter inside ur distributor.
make sure, ur distributor cap/rotor is good.

 

but it runs fine above 2500 rpm. cap rotor, are good. Distributor was new not too long ago. and I have spark.

 

perhaps you should try replacing your map sensor. mine was doing the same thing and that was a quick fix for me..
