Default So what clutch do you have(ACT, Exedy, etc.), I need advice need new one soon....please help me out.

I have a 99GSR with basic bolt-ons right now, with some more moderate all-motor work planned for the future. I just passed 61k miles on my stock clutch and it has begun to slip so I am now looking into which clutch to replace it with. Let me know what you think would be good for my application and what you have had experiences with in the past. The car is to be driven on the street 95% of the time with the possibility of the occasional autoX or roadcourse. Reliabilty, with good driveability, is my primary focus. I'm also going to get a lighter Flywheel when doing this, but nothing too radical, although I know the debate of whether or not there really is a prob with a 'too' lightweight FW, I would love somethng around 10lbs, a little lighter than a TypeR one but maybe a little more than those lightweight 8pounders.

These are probably my current leading contenders:
1. Replace with new Honda stock TypeR clutch(and Flywheel)...nice but would like a something maybe a little more aggressive but with similar reliabilty/cost
2. ACT HD/SS clutch kit setup.....heard good things(I think they came out with a slightly newer 'revised/improved' one, true or what? Just heard a couple bad stories about them, but maybe the 'old' model ones, Reliabilty?
3. Exedy organic sport clutch(model 08-800) and FW(model HF01, I believe like 9.2lbs)...heard good things, anyone have this, there is a good price going on now in the BestBuy forum, anyone?
4. Other quality lighweight FW's, maybe Comptech, others???

So, if you could gimme some advice or comments then that would be great, thanks

Moderators, yes I know I have GSR and this is the TypeR forum but with the similar tranny and corresponding clutches available I know I might get more feedback if posted in here as well 'cause this forum gets good traffic, so ya know...

Thanks for the replies so far. I am also looking into an Action Clutch setup, especially after reading those posts('Clutches 101') by Rocket. Still looking though, thanks. Anyone else?

1. Replace with new Honda stock TypeR clutch(and Flywheel)...

3. Exedy organic sport clutch(model 08-800) and FW(model HF01)
Either of these 2, I would go with #1

CM Flywheel and CM Stage 3 is what I am running. I love it. No cpmplaints about the flywheel being to light or grinding when starting. The CM Stage 3 grips very nicely, and pedal pressure is just like stock, maybee %10 stiffer. I would reccomend this setup becuase you dont plan on building an extreme setup, and for something mild it will hold up nice.

I'm currently using the ACT AI4-HDSS Clutch and a Fidanza Flywheel. The combo has performed flawlessly so far. HTH.

ACT HD/SS and Comptech Aluminum Flywheel.

I love this combination. It's awesome. Totally smooth and streetable, but if you shift hard, you can nearly rip the dash off...

ACT Extreme Pressure Plate - Street Strip Disc and JUN Lightweight
My 2-3 Shift Screams and I found myself shifting faster and more often. It roars through the gears.
