Please don't make recommendations if you don't know what you're talking about. If you do, then please explain why you recommend an arbitrary number such as 7 psi.

i have to agree with the above. a properly designed turbo motor should be thought out from the tune, to the parts to the goal. same with NA. don't just part slap and expect it to run right. since you have ITR cams you could do a single runner manifold and p73 ecu, and or convert to obd1 and use a chipped ecu. how much money can you spend>? what kind of MPG do you want and how much power should the motor make? answer those 3 questions before you buy parts.
well i want to be able to push around 200whp or 250whp wit out boosting i dont know how much i want to spend, I would like to buy parts 1 at a time but i want to make sure that the parts i put on r gonna do me good once i boost it, like i know i need to do low compression with the turbo but will the car run good wit the low compression set up n no turbo?

it will run just fine on low compression and no turbo, just slow, and im confused cause if you want 200-250 whp with out turbo you need to go all motor and even getting to that goal on all motor is quite costly......so what exactly are you trying to do?

idk? i want to pretty much build it for boost but i prolly want boost it until later on but i was wondering if i build it for the turbo, but not have the turbo on it rite yet will it run good n be quick? but when i boost it i wud like for it to be around 400whp.

i understand what your saying and well, if you want it built for boost but no turbo yet, your gonna have to make a sacrafice. Its gonna be slow with low compression until you add the turbo. It will still be reliable, and ready for boost but slow, and once the turbo is on though it will have been well worth the wait cause it will be quick. 200-250whp with no turbo would be going all motor with high compression and takes alot of money and time and tuning to reach. 400whp on a turbo gsr is very doable, in fact thats what im working on right now with my 94 gsr. im gonna be spending around 6 grand however to reach that goal and have my car stay reliable, and be well tuned for daily driving. Sounds to me like you need to do some more research before jumping into this, take a look at the forced induction tech section and you will find many useful threads on turbo gsr's or do searches and just start reading. You will be able to learn what you need to real quick, and of course talk to the many smart builders and tuners on here who would be more than happy to spread their wealth of knowledge.

What does 400 whp mean to you, is it just for bragging rights? Do you have a 1/4 mile time goal? Will this be a daily driver?
I got friends running boost on their stock GSR's making 300-330 whp, running low 12's, daily driven. If that's not enough for you then rebuild the motor to withstand higher HP, not PSI for now. I'd go for 9:1-9.5:1 CR with forged internals, it will still be fairly nice for now, then install the turbo when you got the money. Just don't bother spending money on a header or NA cams.
If you do decide 320-340 whp isn't enough and go for 400 whp, remember, more hp won't mean **** though if you can't hook up, so you may wanna start looking into suspension mods or some really good tires the very least.
