Default HIDs Causing Honda Computer Problems?

i just had to have my 01 civic taken to the honda dealer to have the computer fixed. The people their told me my HIDs could have caused my computer to go bad. has anybody ever heard of this or the dealers just trying to put the blame on the consumer and not on them. because i had no problems with my HIDs before. and a couple months ago I had to have my car taken in to have a SRS problem worked out and they loaded new software on the computer because apparently there was something wrong with the old software but now my computer is messed up. really just wanted to know if there is any truth to what they said?

i honestly don't know how HID's could damage your ecu unless the wiring is all effed, and i mean real effed up. I have had HID's in my 01 coupe and never had an issue and in my 00 si and never had a problem... possibly their software upgrade caused it???
