ls with some b20 internals?
so im building my ls and im looking to get more stroke, my buddy says that i can get a b20 crank and shotpeen(what ever that means) the LS rods. would this work?? i have time to listen to everyones opinions since i have a while till im done building this and finding parts...thanks!
Really, you dont want much more stroke for a daily driver. The rod length/stroke ratio is bad enough that if you plan on revving higher than stock you'll put too much load on the cylinder walls. Go with a bigger bore. Sleeving is expensive though and that'd be the only way to get much from boring it out.
Are you looking for turbo or NA power?

im going NA, and thanks, i had jsut figured out about the stroke length after i posted this. Its not really a daily driver, i got my other car at home that im driving while building this. not wanting to bore out the motor, just high compression with a built head, milled off around.0010 to .0015 off of the head, just to give it some extra compression is all
i already have the LS and i dont want to go buy another motor, and besides, tooo many people in portland have b20 civics, while the ls motors are being thrown out im able to get good deals on things they dont need.
I have a set of P30 pistons and 2 sets of PR3s(one set is 82mm) and a set of LS rods, shotpeened with ARP bolts already installed and resized if you wanna buy em.
