just bought a hatch, it was a stolen recovery. Car needed new igntion, so replaced ignition but the alarm that was in the car was keeping the lights and etc on. So I cut them out and i re-join the wires but the car wont start....any ideas?

see the two cut wires, when I join them car doesn't start and it was the only wire cut
heres another pick of the other wires

yea, its was running till i cut the alarm out, now when you turn the key to start, nothing happens
You can just see the insulation of the cut wire on the right (starter blk/wht). Obviously it needs to be connected. Get rid of that scotch lock connector on the blk/yel wire. That connector is made for 14-16 ga. wire and you have it on a 12ga. not mention those things are junk in my opinion. I've done many a troubleshoot and found one of those connectors to be the problem on several occasions. You may also want to look up toward the top of the clutch pedal for the clutch interlock switch and make sure it hasn't been tapped into with a relay for a remote start system. Depending on how this was bypassed by the installer it could keep the car from starting with the alarm out of the system.
