97 civic coupe 5 speed , clifford matrix 50.5x with dei 689m
Ok I connected all the wires for the remote start harness I pretty much know all these wires are connected at the right location,Even the second ignition wire( I was told i dont have to on my car). the harness had three 12v wires - I connected all three as well as the small yellow wire from the 689m to the same location on the 12v wire on my ignition harness, Is this ok?
another question
689m
black/white - I connected to the nuetral saftey wire from alarm brain?
blue- I connected the to blue status wire on the remote start brain?
purple and black - my clutch hastwo wires dnt know the polarity of the wires so i connected them both ways still nothing
The problem
I get in car close doors start car pull ebrake make sure car is in nuetral release clutch the press the remote start, I get the flashing parking lights confirmation try to remove key car shuts off.
What confusing me is that i took a break came back didnt change any connections and the car stayed on when I removed the key but when i opened the door it shut off, Now i cant get it to stay on again even switching the clutch connection around,

hmm I used the diagram from http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/...tail/1050.html
but the diagram from directwholesale is diffrent, It says i dont need the 2nd ignition which i currently have connected and it says the acc is also diff, could this be the problem

This is an accurate tag in sheet, there is only one ign. but there are two acc., 2nd ign. can be programed for 2nd acc. although it really makes not diff. as long as it is connected.
It is not the reason your system is not working.
Why it is not working is hard to say other then it has something to do with the 689M or how it is wired.
Where did you get the 689M? 94

Green- connected to same door trigger as alarm
purple- not used
white- connected to blue wire behind tach
black/white- connected to neutral saftey wire from alarm brain
dark blue- connected to blue status output from remote start relay satellite
light blue- not used
gray- connected to white wire from the 689m relay
yellow- connected to same ignition spot as heavy gauge wire from remote start
red- connected to 12v white wire on ignition harness
black-grounded
relay-
black- i tapped into status wire with diode as shown
red- goes to green/white brake wire behind pedal
blue- connected to wire going to handbrake
white - connected to the gray wire from 689m
clutch bypass- Not sure of polarity for civics
black- looks like I have to tap into clutch wire
purple - Do i have to tap into wire or cut wire ? diagram confusing

I would say to go up to a car audio shop and have them do it. I used to work at a audio shop and i dont know how many people would bring their cars up and something is completley wrong. im not saying your wrong but if you have some money, i would just spend it to get the alarm put on so your guranteed it wont mess up later.

This is my project car I Am doing a stealth install if i Do it myself if something goes wrong I will know how to troubleshoot it where each wire is located and so forth , dont trust shops and they wouldn't do stealth

The CIS on your civic is a ground supply, it will supply a ground to the starter relay when clutch pedal is stepped on, but you should confirm this, the input to the CIS should be black and should test as a ground, the output of the switch is a blue/black, it will test as a ground when clutch pedal is stepped on, you can use a status output and connect it to the blue/black, the status output will supply the starter relay with the needed ground.
From what I can see it looks like it is connected as it should be, although I am also confused with the violet and black at the CIS, where are they from? 94

yeah im rechecking all my connections right now, the violet and black come directly out of the 689m says supposed to connect one to each wire behind clutch pedal. If what your saying is correct my car has a negative clutch system soo i connect the black wire from the 689m to the blue and black wire from the clutch and the violet wire to black wire of the clutchm Question is from the diagram does it looks like im tapping in the violet wire or am I cutting it???

Ok i checked all connections and i found part of the problem. The car stays on now when i remove the key but only when i rev the car to about 1500 rpms anything lower the remote start wont engage, even if i get it to stay on it wont shut off when i close the door?
so I'll fix the tach problem first it seems to be a issue with the tach wire how do i fix?

In the manual it says that hondas have tach issues and to wire the 689m tach wire to tach behind the cluster, and to wire the one from the alarm/remote start to a alternate source like a fuel injector. can i get a tach signal form an injector? I alrdy tried to wire it the the unused blue wire under the hood but i had same issues, Can i get a signal from the dizzy? or a injector?
Get tach from an injector, it is what I always do, use an injector for both the remote start and the 689m
You do not cut the CIS leads, purple to black and and black to blue/black, or as mentioned before use a status output from the remote start to the blue/black and you will not need the purple and black from the 689M.
Don't forget to reprogram tack once you move the leads to an injector, any injector and it is the lead that is a different color at each injector. 94
