Default this cant be normal

so my oil has been disappearing. didnt know where its been going. nothing leaking on the ground. maybe evaporating my mechanic said...? i didnt even know that was possible. anyway, im putting some antifreeze in and went to put some in the reserve and there my oil was...wtf?

That means you have a bad head gasket or a crack in the head or block.

head gasket is gone... did you overheat the motor not too long ago? that usually does it.

The PCV system is there to burn of 'evaporated oil' as it becomes blowby gasses. It can evaporate, but not like water evaporates on a hot sidewalk, it blows by piston rings, valve seals, etc. That's why people use catch cans.

He has a bad head gasket or a crack and it mixed with the coolant, that's why it's in the reserve tank.

that sucks. i never over heated the car. on a super hot day the oil temp got pretty high so i let it chill for 10 min and drove home with the heat blasting . never had another problem after that.

or did u mean the oil gauge was higher than normal when you said overheating?
