Hello everyone i've got a probelm with my heater, it's the temp control slider on a 94 civic ex and i believe mine is broken because...when i move it to the hot side it slides back to the middle or cold section. I have found out it might be my air mix cable but before that i need to find out how to remove the control panel for the heater and how to detach it from the cable..I've already searched but not too helpful also i have a haynes but its torn up and my helms doesn't show me where the fourth screw is i got all of the other 3 but not the fourth...Pics would be helpful

Its been a while, but i only recall there being 3 screws, 2 up front at a very akward angle and one at the back in the middle, those 2 front ones are a real pain to put back in too. disconnect the air mix cable at the heater core btw, don't try to take it off the climate control, you'll end up breaking the clip thats part of the climate control unit.

thanks for you input EG8 when i get out class tommorow i'll try it i got far enough to get the two front screws out but i couldn't find the third one and i didn't know how to take off the cable. Someone told me i have to get a new one because mine is trashed becuase it doesn't let the cluster slide back and forth therefore not letting heat in. I'd tried it before with just doing it manually by turning the heater core switch from the engine bay but it didn't work i just ended up bending it, But i am getting hot water in and out of the heater core MORE INPUT its cold at night

If the cable isn't routed correctly through the dash it can bind up like that.
