Over heating need help
I have a 92 civic hatch with a 95 ls motor It had a blown head gasket got that done resurfaced every thing new water pump thermostat radiator and its still over heating can someone help me out im running out of ideas Thanks for anything
It idles fine the fan works but its on a switch and no didnt forget to turn it on or off you can run it for like 20 or 30 min. and its highway or cruzing if i gas on it it will cool down alittle then it just goes right back up
when the car starts to over heat, do you turn the heat on to see if it's kicking heat out? It could be you have a bad, leaking, or cloged heater core. I would start by looking for water by the heater core. If there's no water, try to some how clean out the heater cores inside (or replace it). After that, I don't know. Try taking the thermostate out and running it to see if it still overheats.
