Default Pro1s or Pro2s

Hey,
Okay so I have searched and searched to try to figure out whether Skunk2 Pro1 cams or pro2 cams would be better for my setup. After hours of searching I still am not to sure as there have been mixed reviews...
This is what I will have eventually. If I do Mill the head and get the thinner head gasket(not sure if I want to do this yet...) it would be around 11.6:1 CR what do you think pro1s or 2s
CAI
Esp Header and full 2.5" exaust
Deck Head (0.02)
Thinner Head Gasket (0.009)
Port and Polish
AEM Tru power pullies
Modified Stock IM
Thanks,
-Greg

you might want to throw in some flat faced valves for extra compression bump. Probably wouldnt go with pro2s till you hit 12:1cr. Dont forget aftermarket valve springs and retainers. Forget the s2 intake manifold, and their tb. People have problems with the s2 tb. As for the manifold, get a couple blacktrax spacers. or one of their upgrade packages.

yeah I'm going with the RM valve train as for the valves im not sure yet yeah I've changed my mind about the S2 IM im gunna modify the stock one. So with out the valves 11.6:1 isnt enough for pro 2s? what about with valves ~11.9:1 Is that better for pro 2s???

Instead of asking for opinions, why don't you search the All Motor forum. There are plenty of dyno's of both cams used in both H and B series apps.

I have searched, there are not many dyno comparisons for these two cams.

The Pro2's out-do the Pro1's in all applications and compressions.

No, Each series is progressively better, but that depends on your setup, go on skunk2's website and research, or send them an email and see what they tell you..below 11:0cr is not going to give you the maximum hp for even pro1s, thats pretty much what they told me. stock setup the tuner series stage 1 would be best.

not true. read this months modified mag. project low key. pro 2 to not have the same power band pro 1's do. there are a lot of different variables involved. pro 1 were a pain in the city but made MORE power across the board. pro 2 are great DD cams but made 5whp less @ any given point on the dyno. they ran stock compression gold series mahle slugs.

I would of thought pro 1's would be better for the "street" not the pro 2's. Or did you get it backwards?
