read...is it true?
is it true that there is a new law that you cant swap your motor and cant reff it?i heard something about this and just wanna know if its true....i live in california so i dont know if this effects anywhere else....well if you have info on this....dont be afraid to post....

As much of a crap-**** state when it comes to traffic laws as Cali is, I'm sure it's just a rumor.
As long as all the parts are OEM or CARB approved, the motor is the same year or newer than your car, and your car passes the BAR, I'm sure you got the
to go.
Oh, and that you can produce proper documentation of purchasing the swap.
EDIT:
I don't know if it's true or not for sure, but it'd be all over the net, and it's not, and it doesn't make sense that something like this would get passed before people knew about it (it would have to be brought up then voted upon). It also doesn't make sense from a standpoint that sometimes engines need to be replaced, even if it's not for performance purposes. It'd damn near put some pple (swap specialists) out of business.
