Default Installing sportlines... NEED SHOCKS?

Hi, i'm about to install eibach sportlines on my '07 si coupe and while the topic of camber kits has been beaten into the ground i can't find much on needing to install aftermarket shox/struts at the same time of installing springs.

So that's my question- should I install the tokico blues at the SAME time i install the sportlines or will the factory honda shox/struts hold up well under the 1.4" drop? Keep in mind i like performance driving but don't do any auto-x kinda stuff. I don't want the car to feel squishy after lowering so will i need to do the shocks to avoid this?

Also, how long do you think the stocks shocks will last with the sportlines 1.4" drop? The car currently has 11k on it. Thanks.

i have eibach pro kits and im still riding on my stock struts for over 2k miles now. even though its not a drastic drop, im sure the sportlines should be fine for a few thousand miles, but of course depending how you drive.

however, im going to get some new shocks right after i buy a new alarm. you shouldnt wait til your stock shocks blow. what if your new shocks are horrible, or for some reason you need to swap back to stock parts?? just something to think of.

you wont need new shocks, yours will be fine. but if you do get new aftermarket struts it will just make the car feel stiffer and corner a little better then the oem struts. dont get tokico blues, they arent good. Go with some koni if you dont want a coilover system
