Default Is this ECU ok?

i have a jdm b18c with a 99 SI ecu. it runs fine and everything but was just wondering if a GSR ecu would be better as far as VTEC x-over and just in general. i heard it's not good to have an ecu that was made for a 1.6L to run a 1.8L motor not not sure if it's true. thanks for the help and any info.

A gsr ecu would be ideal. The fuel maps, ignition timing, vtec engagement point is different on a b16 then it would be on a gsr.

The ideal solution would be a chipped obd1 vtec ecu with an obd2 to obd1 jumper harness

then for sure the P72 would be much better.
Unless you've changed the intake manifold.
