Type S is OBDI, I believe. Did you get the Type S ecu along with the motor?

The Type-S has ATTS like the SH.

The Type S uses OBD2 as it has ATTS. Should swap straight no problems.

Not true. People who have bought JDM Type-S swaps have reported that the ignition timing sensors are like the obd1 engines; ie. ckp/tdc sensors in the diz instead of at the oil pump. It's still nearly a straight swap, minus some minor rewiring that needs to be done.

Iv just checked and apparently all JDm H22 use OBD1. So will my Type S with ATTS still use OBD1. If so this is good news. I can get even more power out of it.

How do you figure that. The fact that the engine is obd1 or obd2 is arbitrary since you have to retain the stock ecu, whereas almost all the tuning systems require the use of p28, p72, etc.

When i did my Type-S swap the only "mod" i had to do was run the engine wire harness underneath the intake manifold in order to be able to connect it to the harness on the correct side. Other than that nothing else was done. Just make sure you use the JDM Type-S ECU and youll be fine.

So are the crank position sensors at the oil pump then? The fact that you didn't have to do anything at all means the engine is obd2 right?

The CPS is not at the oil pump and the distributor is internal coil. Also the VTEC solenoid has no oil pressure switch. Even thougth some sensors are located in different locations the wiring seems to lead to the same plugs on the harness. He just has to make sure to use the Type-S ECU. If he wants to use an external coil and a cps on the oil pump he is gonna have to use this OBDII harness.
