Ok here goes, i searched and couldn't find anything. Well it all started when I was racing my homeboy and i tried to shift into 3rd gear and it was like I missed the gear, but when I let out the clutch it was in gear. So I tryed to put it in neutral and it was still in gear. While the car is off it wouldn't go into 2nd or reverse. So I changed transmission's and bought a new clutch, reused the same pressure plate cuz it still looked in good condition. Well put everything back together and turned the car on and pushed in the clutch and it won't go into any gear while the car is on, but if the car is off it will go into gear
Any help would be really appreciated thanks

adjust your clutch cable, sounds like it's not releasing all the way. you'll want to tighten that plastic nut so it pulls on the arm harder

I just don't understand how it will go into gear while the car is off and i push in the clutch ,but while the car is on and I push in the clutch and try to put it into gear it won't go
you can't change gears if the transmission is spinning. if the clutch is not completely letting go, that is your problem. check the cable tension at the trans and have someone press the pedal while you watch the arm move

We did that yesterday, also went out there today and was messing with the clutch cable looseing it and tightening it to see if anything would work but it hasn't

So when you push your pressure plate, how stiff does it feel? Is there pressure on the pedal. If there is, it's probably your pressure plate. When you looked at your presure plate, did you look for any hair-line cracks? One little crack in your pressure plate could cause it not to disengage your clutch. So if everything on the clutch pedal side is good from the pedal to the throw out bearing swing arm, you might want to pull the tranny back off and look again at your pressure plate for any cracks inside and out.

Ya i'm probably going to just pull the trans back off and replace the pressure plate, throw out bearing, and pilot bearing.
