Considering jdm-R swap
I'm considering swapping a JDM type-R motor into my '95 special edition. I want to slap on a stock type-R motor to avoid the risk of getting an exhaust fix-it ticket and a visit to the state ref after the swap is done. But what other mods is worth doing on the motor besides an intake?
Also I've been registered on this forum for a long time but never really posted. I was wondering how I will be able to sumbit posts on the For Sale threads? Do I need to achieve a certain number of posts first or something?

Oh crap I just read my own post and saw that it was my first post ever. Maybe that's why I can't contribute to the classified threads.
had the same thought when i blew up my GSR. the problem is: these motors are 7-10 years old. good people like hmotorsonline.com actually sell low mile motors, however, they are old. this means the valve seals are shot or will be soon. the crank and cam seals should be replaced. the JDM parts aren't compatible with USDM computers. if your emissions require a scan tool the JDM computers won't fly. it wouldn't be hard to spend $5000 and some man hours doing the swap. if you take what you can sell your car for and add 5k you won't be far away from what total title type r cars sell for.
