Default turning/wiper switch issue

Hello-
I'm buying a 96 accord ex and on occasion, when the steering wheel is turned right while driving, the wipers come on. I can move the wiper stalk upwards and it shuts off. I'm guessing that there is a problem /bad connection with the wiper switch. I'm also thinking that I can replace the switch (part is about $70) and that should solve it. Am I on the right track?

Thanks-
Greg

yes you most likely have a short of some sort in the switch itself...replacing the combo switch should fix the problem
