Default Speedo Not Working - Due to Corrosion in Engine Harness - How To Clean?

My girlfriends SI the speedo keeps either is jumping all over the place or just stops working all together.

I hit a puddle in her car and got the VSS all wet. I checked it out the next day and there was tons of water in the plug and the cavity of the VSS. So i banged it out as best i could to get all remaining water out of it and it worked off and on. So it's been working fine only jumping at high speeds. So i looked up on how to clean it and they said compressed air and turn the can upside down so the liquid comes out.

I did that today and now it's not working at all.

NOTE: Before all this i took out the original VSS because it was corroded so badly and i replaced it with a new SI VSS. The engine harness itself has the corrosion on the plug. I don't know how to clean it properly without either cutting the plug off so i can get at it and or taking off the entire harness. Both are something i am not going to do.

So what is my alternative to cleaning this harness plug and getting rid of the corrosion from the water.
