Default newb fiberglass questions

Ok so I have never doneanythign with fiber glass. So I figure I'll go to the store and get some materials. But I have a few questions.

I am going to try to construct a airboxof some kind using a mold carved out of styrofoam.

My questions is what do I need to aply to the mold so that the fiberglass doesnt stick to it?

thanks

There's a special mold process using a wax and gelcoat to make a mold. Google search it and you might be able to get more details.

Youtube how-to videos FTW!

Anyways I am bringing this back because I see in the vids that they use a release wax on the molds so that the fiberglass doesn't stick to the mold. Is this a special wax or will any paste wax work?

I believe it is a special wax agent. I don't remember. I just seen the guys make the buddyclub2 back in the day.

There is this stuff called PVA its a mold release liquid and I use it when I vacuum bag carbon fiber and make the molds and it works wonders. You can find it at west marine and im sure its available many other places online.
