you cant.

welcome to the world of satin paint.
any sort of abrasive polish/swirl remover will also add shine to it.

you need to spray the coat, and pray to god it lays correctly and without crap landing on it. hence why a decent finish is very difficult to get. any other gloss paint is fine, got defects just sand and machine them out

see thats what im have a problem with cause its out of my grage and with trap and plastic up its been hard to keep it very clean...laying paint good is not the problem minus the shitty orange peel the i sanded out...shitty single stage and ill never do it again...i wish i flatend some clear with base....

i was thinking that i should polish it out and use Dawn to degrease it and take off the wax coat and maybe dull it out again that way...any thoughts?

if you polish it out its gonna be shiny again but if you sand it to make it flat it will look nasty your in kind of a lose lose situation from what i can tell

i was told by a proper sprayer that if you are going to diy satin at home just use rattle cans. wont look as good, but a) cheap, b) you can just sand off then re-spray
unless you have a full booth or somewhere clean and out of the elements then dont bother

i had that problem the first time i tried to shoot it but you need to do it that same way you would a metallic base/clear it needs to be cross hatched i do the 1st coat normal parallel to the ground, the 2nd 45 deg. on direction, 3rd 45 deg. the other way, and the final coat normal again. it seems to work for me
