Default Dyno'd a toda cammed 91 octane K20 today...

Just sharing results, here ya go:

specs:

-OEM K20 type R longblock
-Toda A cams and valvetrain
-thin head gasket
-Toda header
-crap crap crap 2.25" crush bent exhaust
-200 cell race catalytic converter
-crappy 91 octane gas

Results:
208whp
137wtq

this was on a dynojet tuned with KPRO at "Do It Dyno" in signal hill.

Graph comming soon, just sharing results.

Opinions so far:
-torque seems a bit low, i blame the cams
-i think there is at least 10whp in the exhaust system alone
-we compared no intake to a cold air intake, removing the intake completely resulted in a 8whp loss!
-blah blah blah good night

Go to a 3" exhaust, you'll see gains from that, the 2.25" you're running is really hurting your numbers. Another worthwhile upgrade would be an RBC mani w/ bigger throttle body. Your setup has potential for 220+whp with those.

A local K builder here had a customer bring him a type-s with an Injen or AEM intake, TODA header, everything else stock including exhaust. If I remember his thread correctly he put in a set of cams, the RBC w/ a big TB, and a bigger exhaust. Tuned it w/ the Hondata and got over 220.

i am familiar with that but thank you, i was just really sharing results... its not my car it belongs to customer at a shop i used to work at i was just doing them a favor on my day off, the customer does not want it too loud but its already insanely loud so i think there just trying to find a way to go up to at least 2.75" and still keep the noise down, they added a 200cell cat and it did NOTHING for noise

car actually had a 2008 civic Si intake mani but the damn thing leaked A LOT for some reason, i think it came off a wrecked car so we had to put the stock one back on, kinda sucked cause i really wanted to see what it would do...

There is a decent amount left in that motor that's being hidden by the super small exhaust.

Maybe you could interest him in a cutout? I have had GREAT success with cutouts lately.

thats not a bad option, maybe something like a worldsport or greddySP which we all know is quiet with a cutout off the header... not a bad idea, hopefully his budget allows something like that... if not he is kinda stuck where he is cause even with the tiny exhuast and cat its still VERY loud! the gutted interior doesn't help

</TD></TR></TABLE> I've seen 230whp and 150 torque K20A2 on a Dynojet with these cams tuned properly. Look on the Club RSX forums. There are a few people on there that are very happy with those cams.
