ok i got a 95 del sol with a swapped b16 from a 2000 si. i had a stock rebuild. port and polish and valve job done to it i just hit 9000 miles on the motor i wanna boost it, i was told putting a thicker head gasket would knock back the compression a little bit which is only 10:2:1 now. and retard the timing and get a good tune but everything else on the motor is brand new and i got all the bolt ons dont know if that matters though, and im only gona run like 6 or 7psi on it so if you know anything about boost let me know wat ya think thanks

 

a b16 can handle 300WHP on stock internals. the most important thing to do is find a good tuner.

 

leave the timming alone untill it is tunned cause diffrent motors on diffrent amounts of boost will react diffrent to a certain timing. but I run a stock gsr on 11psi and have had no problems so dont worry about the head gasket unless it is bad.
