Stock B16 boost
What amount of boost will a B16 handle prior to failure. One of the guys at a local shop told me that if I put 10 lbs on a stock set up it wouldn't last a month. What do you think.

It would last a fair amount of time , depending on your tune. It isnt about the PSI, its about the HP. I dont see why you cant run about 260whp reliably on a stock si

if you're really worried about longevity build the head. a head that flows better will net more power at the same boost level compare to a stock piece (all other things equal). so lets say a stock si needs 14 psi to achieve 269 bhp at xxxx rpm. well you RLZ head may only 8-10 psi to achieve said bhp

I run 11 psi 18g in my race crx, trap speed 112mph. Motor has 10.4 comp stock everything. I raced a total of 15 times. As long as the air fuel ratio and timming are good it should last a while. Just did a compression check 210 210 210 210 . Go to NJ on the 19 of march.

Well first of all I would suggest that you don't take your car to that place for tuning. Secondly many, many people are making 300whp+ on completely stock blocks and seem to not be having much problems. My guess (and only a guess) is that @ 10 psi you would be running somewhere between 270-310ish whp. This is of course very tune and setup dependant. If you want more specific answers you will have to give more specifics about your turbo setup including dp/exhaust/turbo mani/turbo ect....
