Default My '91 D16A6...

...is surging.

Usually only in first, second or third, but it is bucking a little bit once you approach 2300 RPMs. The check engine light is on, and other than that the car seems to run very well.

Any suggestions?

Have you FIRST checked to make sure there is oil in your engine?

Ahhhh... a very common problem. It lies within your distributor... Its missing due to the crank angle sensor. Code 9 = No. 1 cylinder position... While its OK to continue driving with it... you will want to fix it soon, as it will eventually fry your distrib.. The bucking of the motor will also do damage to your mounts and tranny and such.. I would suggest getting a WHOLE other distributor.. or just try to fix the Crank Angle sensor itself, it consists of a number of color coded wires..

Well, poopscotch. Is the sensor hard to replace, or would a distributor be the easiest route?
