Yea but even a new battery with a radio left on for hrs upon hours will just go dead.

4+ hours with the key in the on position will usually drain a good battery, too.

Exactly.

If you like to run your stereo for extended periods invest in an optima. I've run the system in my Accord for over 12 hours and had it start right up.

Although one thing to remember with Optima batteries is that if you do drain them low you need to actually hook them up to a trickle charger and give them a long charge to keep them in good shape.

I still wouldn't wanna go that many hours even with an optima. Seems like a long time

Bit more than a stock system as well.

It was kind of a test though. I had a jump box with me just in case but I certainly didn't need it.
