so i put a sir cat and mid pipe on my 97 hatch today, mid pipe seems a little short but still long enough just took some vise grips to get it to mate with the header and the axle back. but then i went to put the secondary o2 sensor in the new spot under the car and the o2 hits the shift linkage.
called the local parts place near my work and asked for a sir o2 sensor and when i went to pick it up it looked the same as my cx o2. not sure if the si ek and the sir o2's are the same but i was thinking maybe they gave me the si o2 instead of the sir. can anyone tell me how to get the o2 to not touch the shift linkage or if i did something wrong? sorry if this is confusing at all.
thanks.

would really like to know a soloution to this problem. need to fix it before the weekend.
why wont a sir exhaust fit correctly on my 97 civic cd with a header? o2 hits the shift linkage.
