Default GS-R vs ITR LCA's

First off the car in question is a 92 civic hatch with tein flex. And the question is... either lca going to perform better/be stronger. I really just want to kno will I feel any difference!

Oh also ITR 22 sway/spoon bar/beaks kit are goin on as well.

*aftermarket is out of the question so please do not go there*

first of all.

itr lcas r competely different than gsr lcas.

the shock sits inside the LCA for the itr.

whereas, every other lca, the shock sits ontop and on the outside of the lca.

I seriously doubt there would be any measurable difference going from 92-95 Civic (same as non-R Integra) LCA's to ITR LCA's.

IMHO the only reason to run them would be if you wanted to use a particular suspension that was available only for the ITR.

i can dig that! So, there's really no benefit to have the shock sit inside the lca

No.

And as mentioned, you can't use the ITR rear lower control arms with your existing shocks anyway. They require a lower eye-type mount instead of the fork-type mount found on your Civic.

Since the Type Flex is a fixed-stroke damper, you should be able to remove the lower mount completely from the threaded body and replace it. Contact Tein to see if they will sell you the ITR-style lower mounts separately.

The ITR vs GSR LCA's have different motion ratios. The shock mount point is further inboard in the ITR LCA, so what that means is that it will make the springs feel very slightly softer. Very slightly. You may as well base your decision on what shocks you want to get in the future. A lot of bling JDM stuff is for the ITR type mounting points anyway.

I measured them. The GSR motion ratio is .75 and the ITR ratio is .70

Since you get to choose the spring rate, it doesn't really matter

What is the difference in position (mm)? I'd like to add this to my records.

dont quote me - arn't itr lca's very slightly shorter than standard DC2 lca's? Meaning a camber increase (less negative camber). i dunno might be a brain fart...

I measured both lcas to be 13 7/16 inch from subframe bushing to TA bushing. The GSR shock mount bushing is 3 5/16 away from the TA bushing, and 3/4 below the line connecting the subframe bushing to TA bushing. The ITR mount point is 4" away from the TA bushing, and 1/4" down. All measurements are +/- 1/16.
