i have a 92 integ with a b16 that i just bought, the guy says its outta 99 Si. i think he downgraded to OBD1 because i have loose, what look like, computer wires. if so, advise, what would be better, obd1 or 2 for my particular car.

some specs:
B16 from 99 Si
no ac or ps but want to put ac on later
engine bay gutted, no winsheild fluid, etc, and vacuum tubes are sealed off
intake, headers, exhaust with straight pipes
prepped for drag racing pretty much

 

loose computer wires? are they coming from inside the ecu? might be a homemade datalogging cable. can you post pics?

you had i think obd0 so he actually upgraded to obd1 the car will be easier to modify with obd1.he might have a jumper cable to make the car obd1 which might explain the wires. its kinda hard to get what you mean by loose wire but pics will help
