lllll OBD0 B16 into an OBD1 car-- New Questions!!! lllll
**Note: Hey guys whats going on? To begin, I have searched through both recent and archived threads looking for my answer, and it is nowhere to be found.
I am the owner of a 94 Civic Sedan (Dx) and I am looking to go B-series. A friend of mine is selling his OBD0 b16 for cheap and i'm really thinking about buying it. I just have a few questions. One, I have seen the OBD1-OBD0 conversion harnesses, dizzy adapters, and so fourth and so on. If I were to use one of these, would I get to keep the motor in its original OBD0 condition including the transmission, or would I still have to change things over? Also if it was already converted to OBD1, could I just buy a hydro transmission and be done with it?
Thanks alot for the help guys. Sorry for typing a novel

you won't be able to use the trans in your car being that the car that the motor is coming out if is pre 92 which means it would mostly likely be a cable transmission. you would need a hydro transmission for this swap.
i know they make kits for the cable to hyrdo but i don't believe they make the opposite kit.

Exactly what i thought. But if I got the conversion harness, I would be able to use the same injectors, dizzy, alt., and everything? or no?

lol Cool. I think...
1. I will use my SOHC injectors
2. I will purchase a Rywire OBD1-OBD0 dizzy wiring harness
3. Anyone know how to repin an alt.?

Actually, I am pretty sure they (HASport) do make them. I saw a build in some magazine where B. Gillespie installed a cable-to-hydro kit. May have been HondaTuning.
**EDIT** What I was trying to say is that they have a conversion kit so that a hydro tranny can be cable operated.

Re: (.PLUMMM)
-the alternator plug is the same between OBD0 and OBD1
-you'll need to rewire the fan switch from the thermostat housing location of your old motor to the back of the block of the B16A (its a two wire plug)
-you'll need to wire the following to the ECU ( 2 One wire O2s, knock sensor, VTEC solenoid , and VTEC pressure switch)
-unless your MAP sensor is firewall mounted you'll need to get a firewall mounted MAP or get a throttle body with a MAP sensor
-if you use the DX's injectors with an OBD0 ECU you'll need to wire in a resistor box, just use the B16A's injectors and find some OBD0 clips to solder on to your harness
honestly I would just stay OBD1, get an OBD1 distributor, ECU and reuse the DX injectors and get a hydraulic transmission but you'll still have do the MAP and fan switch mods from above. You'll also want an OBD1 header for correct O2 placemnt.

Thanks alot man. I'm planing on staying OBD1 and buying a Hydro Tranny anyway. Still selling those VTEC subharnesses? That would save me a lot of wiring and at a good price too
